Vytorin
Vytorin (ezetimibe and simvastatin) is a prescription medicine efficient in lowering the levels of bad cholesterol in the blood, therefore preventing hardening of the arteries. That way the patients taking it can avoid developing vascular disease, heart disease, stroke and heart attack. Make sure you take this medicine exactly as prescribed – usually it’s once daily in the evening. You may take it with some food or without, but make sure you do it the same way every time. Report any drugs you are taking at the moment (such as niacin, gemfibrozil, HIV medicines, digoxin, hormonal pills, verapamil, danazol, cyclosporine, nefazodone, oral steroids, cholestyramine, amiodarone, or blood thinners), as well as any health conditions you have ever been diagnosed with (such as kidney disease, diabetes, underactive thyroid, or some muscle disorder), as these may be very important factors in determining the dose that you will benefit from. There is no need to get worried if you experience insomnia, headache, joint pain, numbness, memory problems, depressed mood, diarrhea, runny or stuffy nose, back pain, and dizziness at the beginning of your treatment, as these mild side effects will go away on their own in most cases.
